02Build, extend, or replace?

Sometimes the right answer is an existing ERP, configured well and integrated properly — and we do that work. A custom ERP earns its place when the business is unusual, when licence costs are growing faster than the company, when the team has stopped using the system and gone back to spreadsheets, or when a group needs one view across several businesses. We audit first and recommend honestly.

03Our approach to ERP projects

1. Audit the operation. Every process, every spreadsheet, every workaround. This is where most ERP projects go wrong and where ours start.
2. Design the data model. Items, locations, partners, documents, money — right once, so every module agrees.
3. Ship module by module. Inventory first, usually, because it is where the pain is; then purchasing, sales, finance. Each goes live on its own.
4. Migrate and run in parallel. Old and new side by side until the numbers match and the team trusts it.
5. Own it. Code, data and accounts in your name; documentation your team can follow.
